The search results should show up to 7 Local businesses, tagged with a letter (A,B,C,D…) and usually an address and phone number. There will be a handy Google Map on the left too.
These results are Google Places pages, sometimes they are created automatically by Google and you have to claim them, or you have to create a new one.
